Blackheath Fireworks

Guy Fawke's Night fireworks on Blackheath Common was a total success. I hiked up to the common with a few friends in boots and wellies and we arrived right on time for the first explosion to colour the sky. I have always been fascinated by fireworks and this was an amazing display choreographed to music. It was a chilly evening but thankfully the rain held off until after the show.
Back home in Australia domestic Fireworks have been illegal for years (perhaps this is why I find them so fascinating) in almost all major cities, so it still feels quite strange seeing them being let off in neighbour's yards.
